If you're wondering what Loverfest is, it was supposed to be Taylor Swift's latest tour, however it was cancelled a few weeks ago - it was originally postponed from April 5th 2020, one year ago today, but Taylor recently decided to just cancel as it was better than what could've been a continued series of postponed dates. I didn't have tickets for either event, and I was never planning to go, but I absolutely adore her, and have done since I was 13. Lover is actually my favourite album of hers, (Folklore is VERY close behind, but I love the entire aesthetic of the 'Lover' era, so it gets extra points that way). She wore so many glittery, pastel pink outfits during the launch of the album, and that is basically how I dress every day so... if I were going, this is the outfit that I would wear.
Here we have a series of photos of me being silly in my bedroom, wearing a pink glittery eyeshadow heart on my face, to mimic hers from the Lover album cover, and what I feel like is a very 'Lover era' outfit that Taylor herself would be proud of.
The day that this post goes live is April 5th, which is the first day of my new job, (hi from the past because I'm actually writing it on March 18th, but I haven't taken the photos yet!), so think of this was one of the last super spontaneous fun things I did during the glorious wait between getting my job and starting it. The in-between time where you can enjoy your free time without it being plagued with the 'you should be job hunting right now' voice in your head. The best.
The beautifully dazzling eyeshadow is 'Band Tee' by Colourpop. It's a chunky pressed glitter which is absolutely gorgeous, but it being too close to my eye scared me a little, so I chose to mimic Taylor's style but on my cheek instead!
The glorious multi-coloured sequin dress is from Depop, but it was originally by Pretty Little Thing. The pastel cropped denim jacket was around £7 from New Look a number of years ago, and I actually bought it because I felt like Taylor Swift would like it. Strange how things happen!
