We're Finally Legally Married!

If you've been reading my wedding series of blog posts, you know we had some problems regarding having our wedding day marry us legally. There was a mix up with our local council which meant we couldn't have our 'notice of intention to marry' appointment the required 30 days before our wedding day, but honestly, I wouldn't have had it any other way.

I would actually advise doing this, as I did in the 'all about our wedding' post a few weeks ago, because our celebrant really personalised our wedding so beautifully, which a registrar wouldn't have been able to do, (and I mean they really can't - there's just a lot of legal jargon and then it's over), so I'm really grateful that this happened, even though it meant that we didn't walk out of our wedding day legally married. You absolutely can get legally married before your wedding instead of after, if you would like a Humanist wedding like ours - we just couldn't do that due to a lack of notice appointments.

Anyway! Here is a very short post just to say yay, we are finally legally married - just shy of a month after our wedding day. We had the best time on Saturday with some of our immediate family members as our guests, went to a local park to take some photos with the leftover confetti and bubble gun from wedding day part 1, and had a gorgeous meal at Carluccio's, because you may as well make a day of it!

Please enjoy some of the adorable photos of us as officially Husband and Wife. My dress is from a designer that I found on Instagram called Nadine Merabi and it is such a stunning dress! My first wedding dress was a princess ballgown, but as you can definitely see, I wanted something different for the legal wedding so that the photos are unique. I went with this one because of the gorgeous thigh slit - so modern, I'm obsessed!
