Our Favourite Wedding Photos

Hi friends, sorry that this is the second week in a row where my blog post is going to be mainly a collection of photos, but saying that, I'm also not that sorry because our wedding photos are absolutely delightful, and considering that our main photographer/videographer hurt his arm a few days before our wedding, we really weren't expecting to have the photos back so soon, and we love them all, so we wanted to share a few of our favourites.

Before I go into that, I also wanted to talk about something which I'm really super proud of - and it's something I'm not sure that I really noticed until I did the 'Pinterest vs Real Wedding' trend, which I saw on TikTok a few weeks ago, and planned on doing myself when our wedding photos came through. I mean. You'll see when you scroll through the photos, but I have to give myself a pat on the back because I pretty much manifested our wedding, and replicated the exact vision that I had in my head, which is so incredible. P.S. I didn't have a literal Pinterest board - I mainly just had screenshots in an album on my phone, but same thing, same thing.

The inspiration images will be on the left vs our actual wedding day on the right!

Speaking of TikTok, I've made about one hundred edits of our wedding photos and wedding video, so if you love wedding content, please feel free to check those out here.

I also forgot to mention this in my wedding tips blog post, so I thought I'd add it in here, because it's something we wouldn't have thought about doing if our photographer hadn't asked us to remember to bring in the props for it, about a week before the wedding during our final meeting. We brought an extra bottle of champagne, and two glasses with us, (which lived in one of my beautiful bridesmaids' car, so that we didn't have to carry it around with us all day - thank you, Beth, you're an angel!), so that we could do a champagne photoshoot at the end of the evening - it was so much fun to do this, and the photos came out so beautifully as you'll see when you get to them. I really recommend doing this because it was so much fun - as if there weren't enough photos of me drinking while Stephen looks on proudly!

The entire evening shoot was so much fun, and our photographers told us that they had a lot of fun with us, because I would pretty much go to any length for a good photo and I'm so proud of myself for that - you'll see some photos where we're sat in a gorgeous flower bed, which we had to climb a very steep hill in my heels to get up to, as well as me standing on top of a tree trunk to get some very cool GQ-style photos. I was dubbed the 'cool bride' by the end of the evening, and I take massive pride in that!

I also loved ending the entire day by surprising Stephen with a personalised 'Mrs Airey' denim jacket, which I put on at the very end of our evening photoshoot - he had no idea that I'd had it made, and he really loved it, so I recommend that too, if you're into changing your name! A beautiful end to the most magical day. I got mine from here.

Thank you again to every single person for giving us our magical love-filled weekend where I got to marry my best friend in front of our people and the sunshine. The amount of love and joy that our 12 guests brought into our day made it feel like we did have our original 100 🤍 #loveisintheairey, always, forever.

Enjoy!
