I posted my first ever blog post on November 23rd 2019, so today is exactly one year of Small but Fierce. I can't believe it's been that long but if there ever was a year where I needed something to keep me sane, and focused on something positive, it was definitely this past year. This year has been insane for everyone around the world due to you know what, but I've also grown and changed a lot since I started this blog.
I began writing because I was finding my job difficult and overwhelming, and wanted a hobby to take up which would bring me some joy on weekends. I've mentioned in a previous blog post that Saturdays very quickly became my writing day, and sitting down every weekend to write about my favourite beauty finds, new recipes that I'd found, or just some books I wanted to read, was a massively positive distraction and I looked forward, (I still do!), to writing every weekend.
Readers of this blog have seen me through simple, fun things like getting my first tattoo, throwing surprise isolation birthdays, and learning how to do brush calligraphy, to much more life-changing things like my fiancé having an ileostomy, learning how to enforce my personal boundaries, and my decision to quit my job in search for one which will make me happier.
Sharing all of this through my blog posts has made me super happy, and I'm thankful to those of you who have read even a single one of my posts. I hope you've learnt things about your life, and grown up alongside me during this turbulent year.
Feel free to stick around because I'm not planning on going anywhere, anytime soon. I imagine next year will be even more exciting with my search for what I want to do in life, (yikes!), and getting married to the love of my life in May.
