October Favourites

I cannot believe it's October - where has this year gone?! This is a post where I'll talk about my current favourite jewellery pieces, make up, and a gorgeous Autumnal candle.

Jewellery Favourites

Until very recently, I didn't wear all that much jewellery. I impulsively went to get my 2nd earlobe piercings in April last year, so I've always worn and loved earrings, but other than that, and my engagement ring, I wasn't really a massive jewellery lover. I don't know what happened in the past few months, but I have now started to build up quite the collection of super pretty necklaces and earrings. I actually really want my 3rd earlobe piercings, and I'm planning on getting them done at Liars and Lovers when they reopen, as they use a needle and I've been seeing all the research on why that is a much safer way to pierce ears.

Let's get into it!

Since I just mentioned them, let's start with the Liars and Lovers haul. I found them when Youtuber, (at this point, I consider her a friend), MegSays, showed off some PR which the brand had sent her and I fell absolutely in love with some of the items she was sent, so I decided to take a look at their website.

The first necklace I absolutely loved was this one. I'm really into the layered necklace look at the moment, and this was too cute to leave behind. It's one necklace (I like to clarify this because sometimes it looks like multiple necklaces layered together, but this one is actually just one). It features a gorgeous gold disc on the longer layer, and a sweet little pearl on the shorter. It's so cute, and it really jazzed up this outfit.

I was so in love with this choker coin set from Liars and Lovers, but unfortunately, it was out of stock for so long that I went searching for something similar elsewhere. I ended up grabbing this set of two necklaces, which I often wear together - but they look just as cute on their own, too. They're from Accessorize - one of them featuring lots of little coins all around the necklace, and one with a single coin on a longer chain, which looks so lovely especially with v-necks.

The 'kindness is everything' t-shirt I'm wearing here was designed by Alina from Creative Feel Designs. If you're a familiar face around these parts, you know that Alina is who I'm learning brush calligraphy so of course I had to support her and grab her first piece of apparel. So so cute. Definitely another favourite this month.

This set of earrings from Liars and Lovers is probably why I'm so desperate for my 3rd lobe piercing. I love all of them. There's a stunning mix of smaller studs, such as little pearls, or diamonds, along with some gold hoops which make any outfit look that bit more classy and put together. I also love that they have bullet backs - I struggle with the new trend of 'huggie' earrings/hoops, because they hurt my ears, so these studs are perfect and so easy to throw on for some extra detail to an outfit. I love wearing two of the different hoops together, or one stud and one hoop per ear.

This hasn't arrived yet but I already know that I'm going to be obsessed with it - it's the prettiest rose coin necklace from Junk Jewels. The Instagram algorithm won't show me my friends' photos, but it DOES know that I'm on a bit of a coin necklace hype somehow, and that's how I was hoodwinked into purchasing this one. I'm actually considering wearing it on my wedding day because it looks so delicate and romantic. I love it, and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Candle

I'm going to talk more about this candle from YR Studio next week for my 50th blog post on Autumn self care, but all you need to know that it is absolutely divine. I got mine in the 'Cinnamon Pumpkin' scent, and it is so Autumnal. The throw on it is incredible, you can honestly smell it even if you just walk past it unlit. It's the perfect mix of cosy and sweet, I'm obsessed.

Pictured with it is a horn necklace from another one of my favourite brands, EEJewellery. I got it in their Seconds Sale, so it was only around £6 and I love it. Such a simple everyday piece, but it's so stunning.

Make Up Favourites

If you're into make up, you probably already know about the hype that the Urban Decay 'All Nighter' Setting Spray has received for YEARS, but as I have dry skin, and it aims to mattify skin, it wasn't a match for me so I didn't ever purchase it. When I needed a replacement a few weeks ago, I decided to try out the new 'All Nighter Ultra Glow' version of the cult classic. I. Am. In. Love. This setting spray can do no wrong. The mist is ultra fine, so it doesn't leave any wet drops on your face, or ruin the rest of your make up. It really does just melt in all of the products which are on your face, and leave you with a beautiful sheen. Right up my street.

Finally, two products from Kiko. I tried out their new twist mascara from the 'Unexpected Paradise' Collection. I tried so hard to take a photo of why it's called this, but my camera didn't like the brush and wouldn't focus on it AT all. Essentially, it's a gorgeous lengthening mascara, and it has a twist mechanism at the top of the bottle, which twists the bristles. I use it untwisted (straight bristles) as a first coat, and then do my 2nd coat with the wand twisted. It's now my favourite mascara as it really does lengthen my lashes, and I have such short lashes that a mascara has to be incredibly good for this to happen for me. I also love the gold packaging. You know I had to mention that.

Also from the same collection, I purchased one of the blushes - I went for 02 'Dream Pink', and I just have to warn you that these blushes are incredibly pigmented. I dipped my brush in WAY too many times the first time I used it, and it really doesn't need it. It's a beautiful pink coral colour, and it doesn't disappoint. I'm wearing it in the photo below - look at those pretty pink cheeks. Perfect for Autumn/Winter.

What are your Autumn Favourites?

Can you believe next week's post is my 50TH?!

A week or two ago, I actually ordered a cute piece of homeware which will help me take more aesthetic blog post photos, but it hasn't arrived which is quite upsetting! Look out for much better flat lays on my Instagrams when it does arrive though.
