Glossier Haul and Review

Updated: Oct 10, 2020

A few years ago, Glossier took the beauty world by storm, with their cruelty free barely there, natural, 'your skin but better' style of make up. For years, I've had a glimpse at some of the make up, all of which arrives in their iconic millennial pink pouch - but I wasn't sucked in, until now.

This isn't going to be a huge haul, as I only purchased two items. I merely stepped my toe into the water here, but I absolutely love what I got.

As I've already mentioned the pink pouch, I'm going to finish talking about packaging before the products. They both arrived in cute, pale pink boxes - very simple and classic packaging, which I absolutely love. They also included a little branded sticker in the package, which is extremely cute.

The item which I was most interested in purchasing will come as no surprise to anyone if you've been following me for a long time.

  1. FutureDew Oil Serum Hybrid

This is a skincare product/make up mix, which I was very intrigued by. It says to apply it as the very last step of your skincare routine, but that you can also apply more on the high points of your face for extra glow. I haven't tried it as a highlighter yet, but I absolutely love it as a primer. It's quite thick, so be aware of that - but I don't mind it. It leaves such a healthy glow behind, and gives the rest of my make up a sort of diffused, softer look, which I love.

I also think the 'future' part of the name means that it improves the natural glow of your skin over time, the longer that you use it - so it genuinely is really effective skincare if that's the case. As expected, the packaging with the reflective futuristic bottle, and pale pink lid, is absolutely adorable.

2. Cloud Paint in 'Beam'

You might know from recent posts, that I've just started wearing blush. For years now, I've liked the look of the Glossier cloud paints, but didn't buy any as I knew I wouldn't really wear it. As I was shopping for FutureDew, I thought I may as well try one out - and I already knew I wanted 'beam' because a coral blush is my absolute go-to, now. As they're a liquid blush, I love how soft and diffused they blend out to be, but you can also build them up if that's your preferred look.

Again, classic packaging, this time with the colour of the shade on the cap which is very handy!

Here are photos of the thickness of the FutureDew, and the shade 'beam' when first applied on my hand, and then blended out so you can see how it looks.

I'm definitely going to end up spending some more time checking out different products that Glossier offers, because so far, I'm in love.
